The entire team at Balkum Auto are top tier in their expertise, technical knowledge, and customer service. They took the time to work me into their schedule when other shops would not, and were more than honest and transparent with the issues with my car. Great communication throughout the entire process as well. So nice to find an honest shop I can rely on when I need automotive care!

AVOID!! THEY ARE DISHONEST AND LIARS!!! They break something else on your car when they work on it!!! They had my car for over a YEAR!! I had to do a title loan to pay for repairs, I'm a disabled single parent. They said it was the alternator. It wasn't. I had to be towed back to their shop 3 or 4 times cuz it kept breaking down. After I got it back the third time the transmission wouldn't change gears. I had NEVER had any problems with my transmission!! I slowly got it to Walmart and checked the transmission fluid and it was completely empty, not a drop !! I filled it where it should be n had no more problems. He told me the alternator would charge at high RPMs but at low RPMs it drained the battery but he kept replacing the alternator 3 more times after that!! He said he called around to other mechanics he knew n the consensus was the computer was out. He said he would go over and pull a used computer and install it. It had been around 6 months with no car at this point so I cancelled the insurance to save some money. I was a little scared walking up because of the area, but I listened to the reviews online and was immediately greeted by the owner. He was super friendly and explained thoroughly how to fix my car and how much it would be and exactly why. It would have been double the cost of labor somewhere else, so glad I went to Balkum instead

It is SO HARD to find a reliable, & reasonably priced mechanic. But after reading the reviews, we decided to have our car towed from a prominent business across town that quoted us at LEAST 2 grand, & a week & a half turnaround "hopefully". Robert was a GODSEND!!! He stayed in constant contact, keeping us posted along the way, & even worked on it over the weekend to have it ready for the work week. Saved us over a thousand dollars by not fixing what wasn't broken, & had it done in 3 days. 🙌🏾 We will NEVER take our cars anywhere else!!!!

Hands down this is the best automotive place in the entire world. They are not only very honest but kind and fairly priced. They are fully responsible for saving my day today. As a single mom with zero car knowledge they are a business I truly value and I’m forever thankful for.

Originally we took our vehicle to get timing change repaired. We paid them in full for the amount the son said it would cost. The son kept our car for weeks, never answered any of our calls and my husband had to physically show up to the shop in order to get answers. The son was more concerned about fixing his race car and never fixed what he said he would and what we had already paid thousands of dollars for. Seven and a half months of taking our car back to them for repairs the son swears he fixed. Then, we ended up needing even more repairs bwe never needed because the son caused more damage to our vehicle and never fixed it. We ended up taking our car to a different shop where it was discovered that parts were missing and the car had never been touched by the son and what he did touch he put into our vehicle backwards. I do not recommend Balkums. Now they won't pay us back the money they were paid and won't answer phones. Courts will have to deal with them.

Best corvette shop in Pensacola. Highly recommend having your vette worked on here. Robert and Brian do a excellent job. Very reasonable and fair. They also do all vehicles and makes of cars and trucks as well. Sorry I made a mistake. Robert tau automotive is who I was referring too. Had work on car at Balkum and they were reasonable and fair as well.
